The Port of Hood River will hold a public lottery for five (5) seasonal slips on the South Basin Dock (behind the DMV) for vessels 20 feet and under. The moorage period runs from April 15, 2026 – October 15, 2026.
The slips will first be offered to people who are currently on the Marina Moorage Waitlist. If all 5 slips are not filled, the offer will go the applicants that are not on the Marina Waitlist. There is no fee to apply.
- Moorage & Key Fees: $1,260 (one-time payment) + $50 refundable gate key deposit
- Application Deadline: Friday, March 27, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
- Marina Waitlist Applicants Lottery Drawing: Monday, March 30, 2026. (attendance not required). If all 5 slips are not accepted by Marina Waitlist applicants, the Port will hold an additional drawing on Thursday, April 2, 2026 for applicants who are not on the waitlist.
- Notification of Results: Monday, March 30, 2026 by 5:00 p.m. posted on the Port’s website.
- Acceptance Deadline: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Lottery & Moorage Rules
- Eligibility: One entry per household or boat partnership. Only one watercraft per slip.
- Slip Availability: Five (5) slips for boats 20 feet & under LOA (length overall). The Port may revoke moorage if a vessel exceeds LOA.
- Rules & Regulations: All tenants must abide by the Port 's Marina Rules & Regulations posted on the the Port's website.

Required Documentation:
- Proof of watercraft ownership.
- Copy of registration- vessel must be registered to applicant
- Proof of insurance (co-titled and co-insured for partnerships)
- Lottery Process: If more applicants apply than slips available, a blind drawing will be conducted. Names will be drawn sequentially until all are exhausted.
- Waitlist: The first five names drawn will receive slips. (Moorage Waitlist applicants first, other applicants if slips remain available. The remaining applicants will be placed on a Seasonal Waitlist in lottery order.
- Payment & Agreement: Accepted applicants must sign an agreement and pay the full seasonal fee by Monday, April 13, 2026. If declined, the slip will be offered to the next waitlisted applicant.
- Key Access: Each winner will receive up to two (2) gate keys, with a $50 refundable deposit per key. Refunds take approximately two weeks.
- Slip Assignments: Determined by the Port based on vessel requirements and tenant preferences.
- Subletting: Not permitted.
