Appeal Parking Citation

Parking Citation Appeals

If you would like to dispute a Parking Citation you have received, you may submit an official appeal online within 14 calendar days of the citation issue date. During this review, no additional penalties accumulate.

A TICKET WILL NOT BE REVIEWED WITHOUT A COMPLETED APPEAL OR IF THE APPEAL IS SUBMITTED AFTER THE 14th DAY FROM TICKET ISSUANCE DATE. If an appeal is not submitted within 14 days, the right to appeal is automatically waived and the citation becomes final.

The Port will review the appeal and provide a response, in most cases, within 5 business days of the date the appeal was received. You will be notified of decision by email or by mail.

The following reasons are not considered valid for waiving or reducing a citation, including but not limited to:

  • Customer error (e.g., incorrect license plate entered).
  • Lack of knowledge of parking regulations.
  • Unread signage.
  • Parking only for short period of time.
  • Failure to display a valid parking permit.
  • Lost citation.
  • Disagreement with Port of Hood River Parking policy or fees.

Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and submission of an appeal does not guarantee dismissal or reduction of the citation.
