HOOD RIVER, Ore. (Sept. 29, 2026) — The contractor has postponed the steel and coating maintenance work on the Hood River–White Salmon Bridge. As a result, all overnight closures scheduled for this week have been canceled.

The delay may extend through next week, potentially moving the overnight work to Oct. 12–16. These dates are tentative. The Port is working with the contractor to confirm the schedule and will announce closure dates and times as soon as they are available.

Additional work requiring single-lane closures is expected after the overnight work. Dates and times for those closures will be announced separately.

The Port recognizes that schedule changes affect travelers’ plans and appreciates the public’s understanding.
