As the Port continues to grow and evolve, it is adapting its organizational structure to better support both current operations and future opportunities.

Over the past year, the Port evaluated how best to balance two important responsibilities: maintaining and managing the facilities, infrastructure, and properties the community relies on today, while also planning for future development and capital investment opportunities. The result is a structure that provides dedicated leadership for both priorities.

Megan Channell has assumed the role of Director of Capital Development & Planning. Drawing on her experience coordinating complex infrastructure projects, Megan will help guide future capital improvements and development initiatives that support the Port's long-term vision and the region's economic vitality.

Amanda Rose has transitioned into the role of Director of Real Estate & Asset Management. With a background in real estate and property management, Amanda will focus on the stewardship of the Port's existing facilities, properties, and assets, helping ensure they continue to serve the community efficiently and effectively.

The restructuring has also created opportunities for staff to take on expanded responsibilities, strengthening organizational continuity and succession planning. Supported by improved financial systems and reporting tools, the Port is better positioned to make informed decisions about future investments, maintenance priorities, and community needs.

These changes align closely with the Port's ongoing Strategic Business Planning process. As the Port works with community members and stakeholders to identify future priorities, this organizational structure helps ensure the Port has the capacity and expertise to both care for existing assets and prepare for future opportunities.
