The Port has begun developing its 2026–2032 Strategic Business Plan, a roadmap to help guide priorities, investments, and decision-making over the next six years. The plan comes at an important time as bridge replacement efforts move forward through the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge Authority.

As the Port prepares for the future, it is also planning for a major financial transition. Once the existing bridge is replaced, toll revenue that has historically supported Port operations will no longer be available. The new plan will help identify how the Port can continue maintaining its properties, supporting economic development, enhancing recreation opportunities, and investing in community assets in a financially sustainable way.

To support this effort, the Port secured $50,000 in grant funding and retained Points Consulting LLC to assist with community engagement, data gathering, and strategic planning. Feedback gathered through stakeholder interviews, community surveys, workshops, and public meetings will help shape the priorities and direction of the Port’s next Strategic Business Plan.
