The Port of Hood River is excited to welcome Amanda Rose as the new Property Manager. Local to the PNW, Amanda brings a varied skillset to a key aspect of the Port’s economic development. With a background in communications and commercial management, and a broker since 2016, Amanda was ready for a more challenging role, where her expertise would be used to benefit the community as a whole. Believing that the “Port holds a unique opportunity to foster growth,” Amanda has been impressed by the amount of successful small businesses that find their footing in Hood River, a town know for its unique shops, energy and entrepreneurs. Amanda believes the Port has an important role to safeguard local commercial spaces, giving room and opportunity for companies, like Pfriem, to find their footing. She is excited to step into her role as Property Manager and believes that taking care of their tenants is foundational for the Port.  Amanda and her family are excited to explore the area with their golden retriever, and hiking and paddle boarding are on the top of their adventure list. Amanda has been blown away by the atmosphere of Hood River, finding her new coworkers and community to be genuine and enthusiastic about the Gorge and the adventure (and opportunity) it holds. And while Pfriem is her favorite model of local Port-supported success, they also make her favorite beer.
