REMINDER: Bridge Closure – Friday, December 12

Hood River, Ore. (December 11, 2025) - The Hood River–White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be closed to all traffic on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. for scheduled maintenance.

BRIDGE CLOSURE – DEC 12, 12:30 AM TO 4:30 AM

Hood River, Ore. (November 26, 2025) - The Hood River–White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be closed to all traffic on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. for scheduled maintenance.

Bridge Lane Closures & Full Nighttime Closure Scheduled

Hood River, Ore. (September 19, 2025) - As part of the Bridge Replacement Project, the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge Authority will be installing monitoring equipment and solar panels on the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge. This work will require intermittent single-lane closures September 29–October 3, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (approx. 2–4 hours each day).

Temporary Bridge Closure Scheduled for September 11

Hood River, OR (September 5, 2025) – On Thursday, September 11, at 10:00 a.m., the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be closed to all traffic for approximately 1 hour.

BRIDGE CLOSURE – SATURDAY, AUG. 30, 1 PM

Hood River, Ore. (August 28, 2025) - The Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be fully closed to all traffic on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to approximately 2:00 p.m. for a bridge lift. The bridge may reopen sooner if conditions allow, though with a 100-year-old bridge, some delays are always possible.

Hood River, Ore. (August 26, 2025) - The Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be fully closed to all traffic on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 9:00 a.m. to allow a bridge lift for marine traffic.

REMINDER: Overnight Bridge Closures – August 13–15, 2025

The Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be closed to all traffic nightly from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., August 13 through August 15, 2025.

Hood River, Ore. (July 30, 2025) - The Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be fully closed to all traffic on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m. to allow a bridge lift for marine traffic.

Established in 2024, the Foundation supports community-serving Port properties, including Hood River’s waterfront recreation areas and the Ken Jernstedt Airfield.

Bridge Inspection Work to Begin Soon

FIREWORKS LIMIT ACCESS TO POPULAR WATERFRONT AREAS

Hood River, Ore. (June 27, 2025) – Preparations for the 4th of July fireworks show will limit access to several Port of Hood River waterfront properties beginning Thursday, July 3, when Hood River Fireworks begins setup just west of the mouth of the Hood River. Parking will be free on the 4th in designated waterfront parking areas.

Work will occur from Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25, and again from Monday, April 28, through Friday, May 2, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day.

As part of the transition to All-Electronic Tolling, crews will install signs and barricades on the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge, causing intermittent single-lane closures from 11:00 AM to midnight.

Electronic Tolling Begins April 1

Hood River, OR (Mar. 21, 2025) – The Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will transition to all-electronic tolling on April 1, 2025. HOOD RIVER, OR (February 7, 2025) – The Port of Hood River announces that three seats on its Board of Commissioners are open for election. The newly elected commissioners will serve a four-year term beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2029.

Port of Hood River to Implement Fully Electronic Tolling Starting April 1

HOOD RIVER, Ore. (Jan. 22, 2025) — The Port of Hood River will permanently close the tollbooth on the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge on April 1, 2025, transitioning to fully electronic tolling. The decision, made by a unanimous 4-0 vote of the Port Commission on January 21, follows a 7% decline in traffic, which has impacted toll revenue.
